The tripods in the SO series feature inverted leg extension. This means that when the twist lock is opened, the outer extension tube slides downwards and not the inner one. The design deliberately avoids the use of additional leg segments. This makes the tripod quicker and more intuitive to set up and provides additional stability even under demanding conditions.
The absence of a centre column also ensures high stability and compact transport dimensions. Instead, the two tripod tubes have been designed so that even a two-metre-tall shooter has a comfortable view.
The legs of this tripod are made of 10 layers of carbon fibre. The special diamond-shaped winding of these layers provides additional stability and vibration damping with the lowest possible weight!
Choose the right tripod feet for the surface you will be using it on. The tripod comes with rubber feet, but these can easily be replaced with the spikes included in the delivery. The spikes are made of rustproof stainless steel.
Leofoto uses high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloy components for the metal parts. This corrosion-resistant material is characterised by high strength and good toughness. The yield strength is comparable to that of structural steel. All parts are milled from solid material on state-of-the-art CNC machines and are therefore significantly more stable than cast parts. Leofoto makes no compromises here either !
The half shell (video bowl) B-75 with a diameter of 75 millimetres is included in the scope of delivery. You can replace the 75 mm platform with a photo thread screw with this half shell and thus supplement the tripod with a video tilt head. This gives you a video tripod with a high load capacity!
The attractive carrying bag is water-repellent and equipped with padded handles. The handles are positioned so that the centre of gravity is below the handles.
The carry case is equipped with an adjustable shoulder strap.
